My first Raspberry Pi

Today is 2014 and this is still the worlds smallest and cheapest computer which has been released back in 2012.
It has two USB ports. Usually one port is for mouse and second port is for keyboard.
Another way to use usb ports in one for wireless keyboard together with mouse and second port for USB wifi dongle.
If you do not use wifi then use external HDD instead. SD card which is used as raspberries internal storage for operating system goes at the bottom of motherboard. The video output can be TV or HDMI. Building HDMI as a video output is absolute brilliant cause HDMI also included audio track transferred to you screen/tv. DVI also is welcomed but once your raspberry detects that digital video output is uses it also takes the default audio output as HDMI's. So the default audio output track goes in the air to nowhere and then you have to manually choose audio output to 3.5 mm jack and the restart the file you are playing.
I don't know how this is possible but this little friend which has no CPU and GPU cooler can play Full HD videos which is still encoded with x264 video codec and aac audio track. This is awesome.

First time i load the media center into raspberry and connected to the lan the whole operating system was freezing so many times. My SD card has class 10 but it still freezes so deeply. I start to think that my pi is broken. After 15 minutes the OS has quite normalized and it start to work well. By surfing into various menu sections i found out that auto update option has turned on. I guess and hope that this was the reason why pi were freezin'.

If the raspberry is connected to old style tv then the image resolution of operating system is converted to something like 320x240.
It is little bit silly to play 1920x1080 video which is presented on old TV screen in 320x180.

Mount VDI image on windows, VirtualBox

I really want to mount any type of VirtualBox disk image with some kind of free tools.

The best way i find out today (which is not really solution) is to convert VDI file to to RAW image.
Then open the file with 7-zip or daemon tools.

To convert to RAW image you need as much free space as big is your file system inside in vdi file.
For Example this is 40GB hard disk which takes only 5GB on disk.
You can get this information with VBoxManage showhdinfo image-file.vdi
Now you need 40GB for img file, pretty nice hdd write speed and, of course, time to get the job done.

To enter this solution use
VBoxManage clonehd --format RAW input-image.vdi output-image.img
If the destination drive has not enough space you get error instantly.

Be accurate when next time choose size of additional hard drive.
